To decentralise Australia’s population and economy, the Regional Australia Renewal Fund will be administered by the National Development Bank.
Initiatives include:
- Strategic Job Creation: Incentives for manufacturing, agribusiness, and technology firms to relocate headquarters and core operations to designated regional hubs.
- Critical Infrastructure Upgrade: Fast-tracking high-speed rail links between key regional centres and state capitals, alongside investment in state-of-the-art digital infrastructure.
- Housing & Community Incentives: Grants and tax breaks for young families and skilled workers to build or buy homes in regional towns, paired with targeted investment in local schools, hospitals, and community facilities.
- Economic Diversification: Encouraging value-added local industries to create a more resilient economic base beyond retail and services.
